About Our Pastor

Reverend Christopher Allen Stewart was born July of 1980 in Birmingham, Alabama.  He is the son of Zachary and Beverly Allen Stewart.  Christopher confessed his belief in Christ at an early age.  He was baptized at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church by Reverend Joseph Hood. Reverend Chris Stewart accepted his call to Preach and Teach the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in August of 1999.  This was the beginning of his Biblical Education.  Since receiving his call from our Master, Chris has attended the Birmingham Baptist Bible College, becoming certified in both the Old and the New Testament, also in Pastoral Care, and in Youth and Children’s Ministry. Reverend Stewart is a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church – East Boyles where the Reverend Dr. Robert Alexander, Jr. is his Pastor.  He has served as National Devotional Leader and second Vice President in the National Baptist Convention of America, Inc. Youth and Children’s Division and as the first Vice President of the New Era Progressive State Convention Youth and Children’s Division.  He served as the Youth Pastor and Associate Minister at the New Salem Baptist Church, Birmingham, Alabama for two years; he served as an Associate Minister at the Oakey Grove Baptist Church in Evans, GA for three years; he served as the Acting Pastor of the Fielding Springs Baptist Church in Augusta, GA for a year; he served as Youth Pastor and Associate Pastor of Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA for two years; he also served as Youth Pastor and Associate Minister of the First Baptist Church – East Boyles in Birmingham, AL for six months; and he served as Youth Minister and Director of Christian Education at Bethany Missionary Baptist Church in Indianapolis, IN for two years.  In December 2008, he became the proud Pastor of the Divine Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL where he is serving faithfully. Pastor C. Allen Stewart currently is a Teacher of Systematic Theology in the Village Spring Manly District Association. He is serving as the Director of Evangelism in the Village Spring Manly District Association.  He is a Teacher of Biblical Principles for Christian Education in the New Era Progressive Baptist State Convention of Alabama, Inc. He serves as Secretary/Treasurer for the Ministers Division of theNew Era Progressive Baptist State Convention of Alabama.
